Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot. Sattes Purpur. intensives Bouquet; feine Erd- Blutnoten, fleischiger Ansatz, sehr tiefgründig. Im Gaume fest, markante Struktur und eine deutliche, noch verlangende Astringenz zeigend. Er hat sich nur sehr langsam entwickelt und könnte noch für eine grosse Überraschung sorgen. Hier merkt man den Bordeaux-Blend, aber auch die Maremma-Grundlage. Ein grossartiger Wein mit einem Potential für 20 Jahre.

The flagship 2012 Monteverro is quite expressive from the get-go. Mocha, plums, espresso, sweet herbs and licorice all open up nicely. Dark, pliant and expressive, the 2012 offers plenty of Maremma generosity in a mid-weight, polished style that holds considerable appeal. This is another strong showing from the team at Monteverro.

Funkelndes, intensives Rubin-Violett. Intensive und fein gezeichnete Nase, nach dunkler Johannisbeere und Brombeere, im Hintergrund nach Rauch. Am Gaumen sehr dicht, dichtmaschiges Tannin, eingebettet in feinen Schmelz, sehr lange und tolles Spiel, herzhaft und zupackend, im Finale ist die Hitze des Jahrganges zu spüren.

Beautiful aromas of almonds, hazelnuts, currants and dark chocolate follow through to a full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Balanced, delicious, long, precise and refined. Always an excellent Bordeaux blend from the coast of Tuscany. Drink or hold.

Spicy aromas lead to rich, concentrated flavors of blackberry, plum, leather and vanilla. A coating of dusty tannins caps the fresh, long finish. Needs grilled meats. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2018 through 2027.

The 2012 Monteverro is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. This is a gorgeous wines that excels on many fronts including extraction, intensity and richness. The bouquet opens to aromas of dark berry and spice, with lingering tones of tobacco, resin and blackberry jam. The 2012 vintage was a warm one (similar to 2011) on the Tuscan Coast. As a result, this edition is slightly less nuanced compared to cooler vintages like 2008 and 2010. This is a beautiful option if you choose to drink the wine now or hold it for later.
