Terra di Monteverro 2012, Wine Spectator

Dense and flavorful, boasting blackberry, blueberry and plum fruit. Earth and spice accents add detail as this tightens up on the finish. Support from ripe, refined tannins keeps this focused on the long finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2017 through 2026.

Terra di Monteverro 2012, The Wine Advocate

The 2012 Terra di Monteverro shows inner sunshine and warm climate traits of ripe fruit and blackberry confit. This is a more affordable wine from Monteverro with good complexity and overall harmony. It would pair nicely with succulent cuts of lamb or pork. The wine reveals soft tannins and delicious intensity. There is an extra level of sweetness here that comes from the hot vintage.

Chardonnay 2012, James Suckling

A white with lots of sliced apple, pear and light-vanilla-cream aromas and flavors. Full body, yogurt and dried apple flavors. Layered and delicious. Always serious. Drink now.

Chardonnay 2012, The Wine Advocate

The 2012 Chardonnay is a rich and creamy Tuscan white. You’ll want to pair it with shellfish risotto or vegetables au gratin. This warm vintage delivers loads of yellow fruit that emerges from the bouquet with power. Beyond the fruit are rose petal, pine nut and exotic spice aromas. Hints of vanilla and dried pineapple make brief appearances. The wine stands apart for its texture. The richness is soothing and soft. The finish is velvety and supple. This vintage is slightly less complex, perhaps, but the results are impressive nonetheless.

Tinata 2012, Falstaff

Funkelndes, sattes Rubin mit viel Violett-schimmer. Einprägsame, dichte Nase, viel dunkle Beeren, etwas Pfeffer, saftige Frucht. Sehr samtige, dichtmaschige Tannine, saftige Frucht, spannend und auch leicht salzig im Hintergrund, sehr saftig.

Tinata 2012, James Suckling

Plenty of dried berries, cherries and hints of lemon rind aromas and flavors. Full to medium body, firm tannins and a bright finish. Beautiful Rhone blend as always. Drink or hold.

Tinata 2012, The Wine Advocate

The 2012 Tinata is 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache. This wine pushes the boundaries and is almost too much of a good thing. Its hugely rich and extracted style will not appeal to everyone. Dark fruit, pressed blackberry, prune and dried plums characterize the wine’s opulent bouquet. Beyond those fruity tones are heavy notes of spice, tar and tobacco. I’d suggest giving this wine another year or two.
